(December 18, 2018) The Chautauqua County Humane Society (CCHS) is teaming up with Happy Hounds Hotel and Day Spa and the Media One Radio Group  (SE-93, 101.9 WHUG, 103.1 The Fox, Kiss 106.9, 1240 & 101.3 WJTN, and 1340 WKSN) for the Season of Hope adoption drive!  From Black Friday, November 23rd through Saturday December 22nd we are working to make sure 100 animals make it to their forever homes. As of Monday, December 17th 86 animals have gone home.  CCHS is working to get at least another 14 animals into loving homes by this Saturday, December 22nd.

CCHS Community Relations Director Brian Papalia said “As an added incentive we are reducing some adoption rates.  The adoption fee for a dog that is 6 months or older will be reduced to fifty dollars, and cats six months and older will be available for a donation in lieu of the regular adoption fee.  Our goal is to get as many animals out of our adoption center, and into loving homes as possible during the holiday season.”

While visit the adoption center be sure to pick up a few holiday gifts for loved ones.  In the lobby seasonal t-shirts, jewelry, pet toys and items, and ornaments are all available for the animal lover on your list.

Stop in to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road in Jamestown to meet your Forever Friend.  Papalia said “As of December 17th, 86 animals had gone home, so our hope is that the community will help us to get 100 animals to their new homes this holiday season.”
